Chanel College in Gladstone is set for multiple upgrades across the school, including a new, 2 story classroom block. The new building takes the place of the existing library (now demolished) and features 7 general learning classrooms, a flexible learning area, and a new canteen on the lower level.
A new undercroft area of the existing Austin Wing helps create a more continuous circulation through the school and assists with students travelling to the new classrooms. The upper level of the building also connects to the existing upper levels of the neighbouring buildings.
The school will also receive new amenities and a seniors covered area adjacent to the redeveloped carpark.
Construction is continuing at the school with an expected completion in March 2023.
