Javaka

Constructed overhanging the banks of the mighty Fitzroy river, the residence fully engages the active flora and fauna of the river. Built with the knowledge of the flooding heights of the river, the building sits comfortably and safely in the fast flowing river during flood events.

The build comprises an extension of an existing residence utilising courtyards to separate but link the two buildings. The courtyards enhance the cross ventilation for this tropical residence.
